Tonya has had a huge passion for dogs and other animals since she was young living with many types of household pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and other small animals! While she completed a University and College degree, she was a dog walker with Heidi's Happy Hounds in Guelph and volunteered with Taffy's Legacy Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation. These two experiences made her realize that a career with dogs is perfect for her. Tonya is very familiar with animal behaviour and many training techniques. She is dedicated to expanding her knowledge about the behaviour, body language and welfare of canines. Tonya started the business in 2020 and has turned it into everything she dreamed about. She is so thankful for all of her clients and her wonderful team members. She's excited to continue to learn, meet new dogs and people and welcome new team members. Natalie brings a unique and compassionate perspective to her work, grounded in a background in children’s mental health. She has had the privilege of supporting at-risk youth through canine training and equestrian therapy—experiences that deepened her appreciation for the healing and joy that come from the human-animal bond.
A lifelong dog lover, Natalie has cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes, beginning with her beloved Australian Shepherd and now with Walter, her spirited border collie–poodle mix who turns one in September. Whether walking a large breed or a tiny pup, Natalie treats every dog as if they were her own.
As a mother of three animal-loving children—who frequently ask if it’s “take-your-kids-to-work day”—Natalie finds dog walking to be a perfect fit for her lifestyle. She joined Tonya’s Tails and Trails in December 2024 and is proud to be part of a team known for its expertise, passion, and professionalism. Without hesitation, Natalie says she would entrust her own cherished pet to their care.

Cat's love of animals began at a young age in North Carolina where she grew up with a variety of furry friends. Her love of dogs has been deeply engrained since she adopted her first rescue from the Raleigh SPCA. Over the years, she has enjoyed the company of three bully-mixed breeds and cannot imagine life without the companionship of a canine. She and her husband live in old Galt with their nine year old boxer-mix, Binoo, and a tank full of tropical fish.
